Allied Health / Counselling Services
To help assist our patients on their health journey, we provide the following allied health services as well:
Located near the Foot Street intersection with Mortimer Road, there is ample nearby parking available for our patients. With bus routes running along Mortimer and nearby Beaudesert Road, we are perfect for patients from Rocklea, Pallara, Durack, Inala, Algester and Sunnybank Hills.
Dietitians help us Eat better, Get better and Live better!! They have an invaluable role in identifying nutritional problems, assessing the nutritional status of patients and giving advice regarding positive dietary changes through individualised, achievable goals. In an era where lifestyle diseases are taking over the control of many people’s lives, getting robust dietetic advice is imperative in making a change in the right direction. That’s why we offer regular dietitian’s clinics on site. If you qualify for Chronic Disease Management Programme offered by medicare, your sessions could be bulk billed.
Physiotherapists are highly trained health professionals who provide treatment for people suffering from physical problems arising from injury, disease, illness and ageing. They devise and review treatment programmes using manual therapy (such as massage), therapeutic exercise and electrotherapy with an aim to promote mobility, functional ability and improve quality of life. We have fortnightly physiotherapy sessions on site and if you qualify for Chronic Disease Management Programme offered by medicare, your sessions could be bulk billed.
Podiatrists provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower legs. This can include infections, defects and injuries, as well as foot and nail conditions related to other major health disorders such as diabetes. We run fortnightly podiatry clinics at Your health and if you qualify for Chronic Disease Management Programme offered by medicare, your sessions could be bulk billed.
Counsellors work in confidential settings with individuals who are experiencing personal difficulties, to help them overcome their problems and to make appropriate changes to their life. They use different approaches in counselling according to patient’s needs and play a major role in the promotion of healthy behaviour, preventing diseases and ultimately improving the quality of life. We run weekly counselling sessions and if you qualify for the Mental Health Treatment Plan offered by medicare, your sessions could be bulk billed.
About 1 in 6 Australians suffer from hearing loss. There are a lot of factors that can affect your hearing and once you start to lose your ability to hear, you may feel that you are missing out. But the good news is there are so many ways of improving your hearing health, particularly if you start early.
